Our Story

Chestnut Studios Art and Handcrafted Goods in Lindsborg, KS

"Chestnut Studios was started with the idea of creating a sustainable
studio practice while helping other artists to do the same."

Just a couple of Artists...

Christi Fall Mugshot

Christi Becker- Co-Owner, Ceramic Artist

My name is Christi, I am a ceramicist, construction project fanatic, part-time glass bead maker, and mother to a chronically angry bunny named Theo. I grew up in McPherson, Kansas, and have been a practicing artist for the past seven years, getting my experience in clay at Bethany College, and a few lampworking classes at Emporia State. I started Chestnut Studios in 2015 out of my garage/ceramics studio in McPherson, with the dream of helping other artists too if I could...and, yeah, that's pretty much still my goal in life!

Chestnut Studios Artist Carole Stuenkel

Carole Stuenkel- Co-Owner, Painter

My name is Carole, I'm the behind the scenes designer, photographer, display-maker, crazy curly hair lady, and a permanent resident artist in the back of Chestnut Studios. I joined Christi as just a resident artist six months after she opened the store, then another six months later, and bam! I am officially committed as co-owner. I've been an artist pretty much all my life. I have always loved drawing and photography, but picked up oil paint in college and haven't looked back since! (Well, okay, maybe a few times.)
